Women In Engineering Program Forms Board
"We want to make the Clark School's Women in Engineering Program a premiere program in country and have others compare their programs to ours."
The board comprises former Clark School associate dean and long-time benefactor Marilyn Berman Pollans (who has contributed funds to establish a living-learning component for the program); Engineering Alumni Chapter President Norine Walker (B.S. '73, civil engineering); and Clark School Board of Visitors member and alumna Mary Lacey (B.S. '78, mechanical engineering).
The board will help Women In Engineering become the premier program for increasing the recruitment and retention of female engineering students in the U.S. Speakers stressed the need for active participation and support by alumni and corporate partners.
