Jeong H. Kim Named One of Top Ten Most Influential Asian Americans in Business
The U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce has named Clark School alumnus, faculty member and benefactor Jeong H. Kim, '91, one of the top ten most influential Asian Americans in business.
Dr. Kim, for whom the new Kim Engineering Building is named, was recently appointed president of Bell Labs. He holds a Ph.D. in reliability engineering from the Clark School, has received the Clark School's Innovation Hall of Fame award, has been inducted into the National Academy of Engineering and sits on a number of corporate, university and non-profit boards.
USPAACC, the leading Asian American business organization, works to foster business relationships between businesses, the U.S. government and the minority community.
The 2005 Influential Asian Americans list will be presented by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, the Honorable Carlos Gutierrez, during the 20th annual "CelebrAsian 2005: Diversity Means Business" conference in Washington, D.C., which coincides with observance of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.
