Clark School Undergrad Wins Churchill Scholarship
Andrew Parker, an undergraduate civil engineering and physics major, has won a Churchill Scholarship to apply towards graduate study in sustainable development at Cambridge University.
Mr. Parker is the first University of Maryland student to win a Churchill Scholarship. He is a member of the Clark School's chapter of Engineers Without Borders.
Churchill Scholarships offer American students of exceptional ability the opportunity to pursue graduate studies in engineering, mathematics and the sciences at Cambridge. The selection process is highly competitive: in the last two years the Winston Churchill Foundation has awarded only 24 scholarships in the United States.
