What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
ClarkLEAD was an important experience for me as a freshman. I am excited for the opportunity to help new Clark School students feel they belong in this incredible community.
What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you think new students should know about?
For my fellow women engineers, join the Women in Engineering program (WIE) and/or the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). If you are an aerospace major, join the Women in Aeronautics and Astronautics program (WIAA) as well!
If you attended ClarkLEAD as a first-year student, what did you enjoy most about the event?
ClarkLEAD helped me feel part of the Clark School community, and taught me about many resources I would need in the future.
What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering students?
You will be super busy juggling schoolwork and extracurriculars, so it can be hard to find time to spend with friends. Try to study with friends when you can, and take 15 or 20-minute breaks together. This helps prevent exhaustion and burnout and allows you more time with friends.
