What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
When I was a freshman attending ClarkLEAD, I was nervous about the event and meeting new people, but my ClarkLEADER reassured me that everything would go well. She facilitated conversation so that I felt comfortable enough to talk to my peers and also answered any questions I had about my major. Just as my ClarkLEADER did for me, I too want to help ease students into this event and college life as a whole, teaching them more about UMD and their respective majors.
What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering students?
One piece of advice I would like to share with new Maryland Engineering students is to find a good work-life balance. As an engineering student, your classes will be rigorous and you may have to dedicate more of your free time to studying. While studying is important, it is also equally important to spend time doing activities you enjoy, such as hanging out with friends or attending sports events. Finding a good work-life balance will allow you to enjoy your social life while also ensuring your grades are maintained.
