What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
I wanted to share with the incoming class the things I went through as an incoming engineering major. I want to help make their transition from high school to college as smooth as possible and show them all the help this campus can offer.
What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you think new students should know about?
I think new students should know about Terrapin Rockets, Terps Racing, and Engineers Without Borders.
If you attended ClarkLEAD as a first-year student, what did you enjoy most about the event?
I enjoyed all the advice I received and how everyone was so helpful. I talked with many different students about the school-life balance and how they succeed in school and make time for themselves outside of school as well.
What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering students?
You're here for a reason! Don't let yourself get discouraged if things feel overwhelming at first because everything will always work out! Let things take their course and take advantage of all the academic help that this school offers from professor office hours to group study sessions, etc.
