BACKGROUND
Dr. Brewster received a Ph.D. (2019) in physics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He joined the University of Maryland in 2019 and is presently working with Professor Yanne Chembo.
Dr. Brewster has a broad interest in the field of quantum information and quantum communications using quantum optics. Previously, he analytically modeled decoherence in macroscopic quantum optical states and is currently working on the characterization and simulation of nonidealities in fiber-based quantum networks. The goal of this research is to develop a quantum network simulation framework.
