Craig Carignan received his BS, MS, and ScD degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was a task leader at NASA/GSFC to develop and test control systems for the Flight Telerobotic Servicer Project. At the University of Maryland Space Systems Laboratory, he designed control systems for underwater robotic vehicles used to simulate satellite servicing tasks. At Georgetown University Medical Center, he develop robots for rehabilitation applications, including an arm exoskeleton for shoulder rehabilitation. He is currently a consulting engineer with NASA’s EXploration and In-space Services division and serving as an adjunct faculty at the University of Maryland.
