Abstract

This talk will describe ongoing research in applied aerial and ground autonomy for multi-robot systems equipped with advanced perception. In this presentation, Dr. Derek Paley will outline applied aerial autonomy and air-ground coordination efforts for extended range operations and advancements in non-contact robotic assessment of personnel in mass casualty incidents.

Biography

Derek A. Paley is Director of the Maryland Robotics Center and Willis H. Young Jr. Professor of Aerospace Engineering Education in the Department of Aerospace Engineering and the Institute for Systems Research at the University of Maryland. Paley’s research interests are in the area of dynamics and control.
