TerpTax is currently offering free tax preparation services to UMD graduate students. Visit their website (terptaxumd.org) to find information on what to do to prepare for your appointment and to schedule a meeting with a TerpTax representative. Please note that appointment slots are harder to come by the closer we get to the federal filing deadline of April 18. Do not wait to schedule your appointment. While there are currently many appointment slots available, do not hesitate because they are on a first come first serve basis.
TerpTax, housed in the Robert H Smith School of Business provides free, all-inclusive tax return preparation. TerpTax is a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) chapter, a program created by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). TerpTax can assist both domestic and international students in filing both their federal and state taxes.
