FPE Recognizes Outstanding Students at 2nd Annual Academic Luncheon

On February 4, 2020, the Department of Fire Protection Engineering (FPE) at UMD hosted its 2nd Annual Academic Recognition Luncheon to honor outstanding student achievement. FPE undergraduate students who made the Dean’s list during the Fall 2019 semester were recognized:

First-year - Liora Mervis
Sophomore -Thomas Roche
Junior - Shuvam Roy
Senior - Madison West

As the top performers in each class, these four students each received scholarships to recognize their achievement.

The luncheon was sponsored by Jensen Hughes, a long-time FPE industry partner. Speakers included James Milke (FPE Chair), Nicole Hollywood (FPE Asst Director of Student Services), Emily Thomas (FPE Senior), and Raj Arora (CEO of Jensen Hughes).
