Jonathan Katz, a professor of computer science and director of the Maryland Cybersecurity Center, is featured in a Baltimore Sun article that discusses the growing adoption of Bitcoin and other crytocurrencies.

“[Bitcoin] came sort of out of nowhere and was adopted before there was any kind of serious analysis,” Katz says in the article. “It mushroomed into this thing where thousands of people are using it and still people don't understand the precise security properties of it.”
