ASCE "Insights" Podcast Features CEE's Dr. Gerald E. Galloway
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering's Dr. Gerald E. Galloway was recently featured on the American Society for Civil Engineers monthly podcast series. The podcast discusses infrastructure, climate change, and other relevant engineering topics.
Dr. Galloway spoke on various topics, among them, the impact of engineering and civil infrastructure in presidential politics, the reality of climate change, how engineers can help nation in the growing energy crisis.
Dr. Galloway is a Professor of Engineering and an Affiliate Professor of Public Policy at the University of Maryland, and has been a visiting scholar at the Corps of Engineers Institute of Water Resources. He is a civil engineer, public administrator, educator, and geographer with broad experience in dealing with water management and policy development both within the United States and internationally. He served in the military for 38 years retiring as a brigadier general. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration.
