TerpConnect provides all current students, faculty, and staff on campus a Unix account with 5 GB of personal storage space. Users also have login access to the general purpose login boxes. The disk storage can be accessed from these login boxes or from any computer on the Internet with the proper credentials. This storage is backed up nightly. You are also able to create your own web pages on the TerpConnect server.

TerpConnect accounts are for University of Maryland College Park students, faculty and staff. Accounts can be made available to Affiliates if their sponsoring department has selected this service on their PHR Affiliate record. The Department Chair or Director is the deciding authority regarding sponsorship and service assignment of an Affiliate.
