Access Oracle Passwords with Secret Server

1. Go to https://secretserver.umd.edu/SecretServer/ *Note: You will need to be connected through VPN



2. Enter your university credentials which will lead you to a Duo authentication page



3. Once you have accessed Secret Server you will see Secrets and Folders on the left side of the screen. One of those folders should be AWS Oracle RDS Users. When you open that folder by clicking on the folder you will see a folder with your user name. When you click on that folder you will see secrets in the main window.



Each secret contains the password to the corresponding database that you have access to. If you click the Secret you can access the password.

Items of note:

• Do not change the password. The passwords are automatically rotated each day
• Do not share your password with anyone.
• If your Last Heartbeat Status is anything other than Successful, please open a ticket by emailing itsupport@umd.edu.
