Active Directory Temporary Accounts

Temporary Active Directory Accounts can be provided to University of Maryland guests who will be working with UMD faculty and staff. Accounts have a duration of 30 days or less. Faculty, staff, and departments can request 50 accounts or fewer. Temporary Active Directory Accounts cannot be issued if the guests are working remotely.  This service is only intended for use when guests are on campus and using University-owned devices joined to the campus Active Directory.  These accounts are not intended for use with the campus wireless network or for accessing the campus VPN.  Guests requiring VPN access should request an Affiliate Account.  Those guests requiring access to the campus wireless network should connect to the "umd-guest". 

Only OU Administrators are authorized to request Temporary Account access on behalf of faculty and staff who are sponsoring guests with legitimate business or academic needs to access computer resources in Active Directory.
