Catchbox Throwable Microphones are foam covered cube shaped microphones that are added to rooms with existing wireless microphone systems.  Using a Catchbox encourages audience participation by creating an active learning environment and breaking the communication barriers that exist in classrooms. A Catchbox can also improve the audio quality for class recording conducted with Zoom and Panopto, and serve as an accommodation device by augmenting participant voices for those using assistive listening devices.

If you want a Catchbox Throwable Microphone in a General Purpose Classroom that does not currently have one, fill out the Classroom Technology Request Form. The classroom must have a wireless microphone system in place already. Approval is subject to audio system design and equipment availability.
