Project Management

Project Management banner logo

DIT Project Management office provides experienced project managers to execute UMD projects using established standards and methodologies.

Project Planning (must happen before project execution can begin) should take approximately one month and require, on average, 40% of a project manager's capacity. The flat project planning rate is $5,000.

Project Execution, each project management level (junior, mid-level, senior) will have a monthly cost to be determined by a percentage of their salary. The percentage necessary will be determined by the projected project impact. We will use a combination of the Project Intake Form and subsequent discussions with the PMO to determine appropriate project impact level and resulting monthly fee. Each project will also incur a 10% overhead of the monthly fee to account for PMO oversight. Examples of project costs by impact levels with a mid-level PM are below.

Low Impact | ~25% PM Capacity | $3,000/mo | $36,000/year
Medium Impact | ~30% PM Capacity | $3,600/mo | $43,200/year
High Impact | ~ 35% PM Capacity| $4,200/mo | $50,400/year
Critical | ~40% PM Capacity | $4,800/mo | $57,600/year
