On January 4, 2021, a new student engagement feature will be enabled in all ELMS-Canvas courses. The confetti celebration animation will display to students when they add an on-time submission to an assignment.

Students can disable the feature via their account settings for all courses in which they are enrolled.

1. Click on Account in the global navigation toolbar.
2. Click on the Settings link. Then, scroll to the bottom of the page where Feature Options are displayed.
3. Toggle the Disable Celebration Animations option to off (a green check mark will be displayed). Students can return to this option and turn the confetti back on at any time.
   
4. To disable the feature on a case by case basis, press the Space bar right after submitting the assignment to curtail the confetti blast. Instructors may see the Disable Celebration Animations option in their own account settings; however, disabling this feature has no impact on the animation feature in their courses.
