Term-based academic courses listed in Testudo with assigned instructors are automatically created in ELMS-Canvas shortly after the courses become available for registration in UMEG. Student enrollments, as well as faculty and teaching assistant assignments are synchronized between ELMS-Canvas and SIS. Student enrollments are updated every two hours between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. All other enrollments are updated once a day around 8:30 a.m. Courses identified as experiential or independent study are not created automatically. Faculty can use the ELMS Management Tool to Create Single Section Courses to create the space, or email itsupport@umd.edu for assistance.
