Issue
I am not receiving messages sent within ELMS-Canvas. My User Profile lists my @umd.edu email address but there's an exclamation mark with a message Canvas was unable to send email to this address. Please ensure the address is correct to continue receiving email from Canvas.

Contact the IT Service Desk at itsupport@umd.edu for assistance resolving this error. A representative will contact Canvas Support to resolve the issue.
Cause
Instructure, Canvas's parent company, blocks an email address if they receive a bounce back message when sending a notification to the email address. A bounce back occurs when an @umd.edu email is suspended, typically due to a leave of absence or a period of non-teaching.
