Spring Break Reminder Regarding University's Closing & Timely Proposal Processing

This is ORA’s reminder regarding the University’s scheduled Spring Break closings and the need for timely proposal submissions, including meeting the 6 day submission requirement.

Dear Colleagues,
In preparation for this year’s Spring Break campus closure, this is our annual reminder concerning proposal processing and submissions. ORA staff will not be available March 18-19, 2024 of Spring Break week, when the University is closed.   It is important that proposals due during that time get to us promptly by Friday March 8, 2024 in order to have them submitted by close of business Friday, March 15, 2024.   
 
**I also want to remind all faculty and department staff that ORA requires the receipt of proposals in KR 6 days prior to the deadline to allow for adequate proposal review and submission. The complete and final uploaded proposal should be in the appropriate electronic system 24 hours prior to the deadline. We are busier than ever, and it is not possible to submit compliant proposals at the last minute on a consistent basis.  Please be respectful of our hardworking staff.**
 
We would appreciate you sharing this information with faculty and staff within your departments and encourage them to submit their proposals on time to meet sponsors’ deadlines.
