EWB-UMCP Volunteers at Bonnaroo
July 22, 2013From June 13-16, the 12th annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival took place in Manchester, Tennessee. Each year, this festival attracts many people around the country to come and 2013 was no different. Over 80,000 people attended Bonnaroo this year to see performances from artists such as Paul McCartney, Tom Petty, and many other musicians from a wide range of musical genres.
Twenty-two Engineers Without Borders members from the UMCP chapter set off in three vans headed towards Tennessee to help out with the festival. The group was split into groups to work in shifts throughout the day at the beverage stand to help raise money for the chapter.
Over the four days of working through the late nights, the volunteers raised about $1800 that will go towards the chapter! Many thanks to all of the volunteers who traveled and helped with the fundraising.
